Please be advised that our catchment area is defined as the villages of Houghton and Wyton, excluding the houses which were formerly part of RAF Wyton and excluding the new housing development in St Ives West, south of Houghton Road. Wyton-on-the-Hill is not within of our catchment area.

Reading: In Key Stage 1 we use Oxford Reading Tree (ORT) materials to support our teaching of reading. Children read within a band on ORT, but can choose from a range of books outside of ORT which have been 'book banded' within the same band. Phonics is taught using Letters and Sounds. IFrom Year 2 and across Key Stage 2 children choose books from our Accelerated Reader library within a band relating to assessment of their reading.

SEND Local Offer and Name of Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator

Please click HERE for details of our school's SEND local offer and other information relating to our provision for children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disability. Mrs Laura Thatcher is our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) and can be contacted via the school office . If you have a complaint relating to the SEND support provided by our school for your child, please speak with Mrs Thatcher in the first instance. If this proves unsatisfactory, please contact the headteacher. Our complaints procedure will then be instigated.
